Old Landan Town, and a bit of Brighton.

I got the train down to London on thursday. Upon arriving I decided I would go to Camden and have a wander around and take in the smells of the multi-cultural cuisine. After walking about there and taking it all in i found a stall selling really nice wooden tribal spirally earrings so I bought one. There was a really cool Beatles tshirt that I wanted to purchase but didn't have the cash and couldn't be bothered to find the nearest Lloyds machine. I stopped at a little cafe that was also a pet boutique, selling all kinds of crap for dogs, little jackets and jewel encrusted collars. Karrena would have loved it. I told the friendly American woman who worked there about Roy and Zorro and how much Karrena would love the shop. The woman said she would love to meet the dogs but I explained that I'm not from around there hence neither is Karrena or the dogs. Had my cup of tea outside while smoking a roll-up taking in all that was going on around me, it was practise for Rome.
The time for leaving approached so I headed to the station and got the train to Leicester Square, allowing me to walk the short distance to Covent Garden. When I got to Covent Garden i set about trying to find a small pub called the Harp where I was meeting David, Joe and Laura. It took me about 15 minutes to find the place but I didnt mind the wandering around. I got to the pub to find my Uncle David there, he said hello and he got me a drink while I went for a massive piss (in the toilets, not just on the floor). The pub was small and crowded, like must pubs worth going to, we didn't get to sit down, this annoyed me a little, I don't like drinking a pint while standing. After about 20 minutes of chat on various topics, mainly my up coming trip to Rome, Laura and Joe arrived and they got a drink and we all stood around talking, i went out occasionally for a cigarette. After a while Laura's friend joined us (her name eludes me). David made his way home and the for of us when for a drink somewhere else, somewhere with seats. We each had a couple of drinks then headed to Pizza Express because Laura had a two for one voucher. Although I wasn't hungry I was convinced to get something to eat because of the deal. I was quite drunk by this point and didn't pay too much attention to the food in front of me. Before leaving Pizza Express I made sure I took some cutlery, I felt I had too, it's a compulsion. Laura's friend left and we got the train back to their house, the train that seemed to take a long time, made even longer because I really wanted a ciggy. When we got back Joe and I stayed up for a bit and had a few beers then we called it a night and turned in, I was sleeping in the living room, I had a really good night sleep.
I got up the next day and made some tea and toast for myself, everyone else had gone to work so I was left in the house by myself. After my breakfast I got ready and made my way to Brighton to meet dave. I got to Brighton to find it the coolest and nicest place I had been to in a long while. I walked around lots and decided it was really sunny and I needed some sunglasses so got a cheap pair from H&M. When I met with Dave we got some lunch from a cafe in an area called the narrows (it wasn't actually called that but I have forgotten the correct name). I got a tuna and cheddar toastie, it was epic. After that we wandered down to the sea front and had a walk around there while looking for a place to get a beer. We found a small bar with outdoor seating that looked out over the stoney beach. It was very pleasant and relaxing. After that we took a walk to Jew Street and dave took a picture of my under the street sign. We got another beer at a nice-ish pub near the train station then we went our separate ways and I boarded my train for home, a journey that would take about 3 hours in total, i didn't mind some much. I had some left over pizza when I got home and then pretty much just got into bed and watched stuff on television until sleep took hold of me.
And that was my long weekend away, even though it wasn't really the weekend, or long.

Old Hoppy and Straggled Ben

Haven't really done a massive amount of stuff over the past couple of days, apart from booking some plane tickets to Rome, I'm flying out on monday for a few days, exciting stuff.
I went to see Stuart again in Northampton last night. I met him in Molly's where we stayed for a couple of jars then we went to Blast at the Union. It was proper bo I tell thee. Much guffawing indeed. We had to get up really early because Stuart had to go and view a house. I left and Went into town for an hour or so where i bought a really cool jumper with a rainbow on in from the wardrobe. Met up with Stuart again with his mate from his flat. We got some food and generally pissed around for a bit. We were all in funny moods because we were still drunk from the previous night. There were loads of pigeons in and around the market square, one of them had a club foot and hopped around on it's good one. I called him old hoppy. There was another pigeon that looked like it had been dragged backwards through life, Stuart called it Straggled Ben. I enjoy imagining the exploits of this feathered double act, maybe someone should make a cartoon about them.
Hung out with Nay after coming back from Northampton, watched some TV and had a larrfff. I bought a pizza from the coop, it was pleasing to the taste buds.
I'm really tired now, think i might put lord of the rings on and go to bed. I didn't get much sleep last night and I need to make up for it because I'm going to London tomorrow to see some family. I think I might have a wander around Camden before I meet up with them.
That's about all I can be bothered to write.
Ciao.
